Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. I have registered for the course. When will I get the log in instructions?

You will receive the login instructions via the email you have provided at the time of registration, with a link to a video on July 9, 2020.

  2. If I have the username and password can many people use the same and watch it simultaneously?

Your username and password are unique and tied to your registration details. Therefore, you cannot share your username and password with other people. Doing so will mean that your username will be disabled, resulting in your inability to watch the live telecast. At any one time it can be watched through only one equipment.

  3. I may not be able to sit down at a stretch for 6 to 8 hours watching the live telecast. Will I miss some part of it if I must travel to the hospital or be engaged in some sort of work?

We are using the most modern live streaming technology for this program. Therefore, you can pause your video if you need a break, and resume after some time. Your individual video stream will begin from where you left off, and you will also have the ability to “catch up to live” – meaning, you can jump straight to the current live video stream.

  4. When I come back after a gap of few hours can I go to the live session happening at that time?

Yes. You can join the session that is going on at that moment.

  5. I live in a place separated by a time zone of 12 hours. Can I watch it when I wake up in the morning?

Yes you can. Only thing that you would miss is that you cannot ask questions to the surgeon and participate in the ‘live discussions’!. But you will have access to the video on demand as well as the answers to the questions raised during the session. Usually the surgeon before answering the questions will repeat the question and then answer. So you will be able to get the most of it. So being ‘widely distanced’ by the time zone will not matter.

  6. I would like to watch some part which are of greater interest to me again, Is it possible?

Yes. The video on demand will enable you to watch the operations that are of greater interest to you again, any number of times. The on-demand video will be available until midnight IST, July 19, 2020.

  7. How long will this facility to re-watch the course available?

You will be able to watch the on-demand video stream for one more week after the course ends - until midnight IST, July 19, 2020.

  8. Will the delegates get a recording of the workshop?

While video on-demand will be available through your login, you will not be able to download a copy of the video. Since it is a live telecast and many patient consent and protocols are involved we will not be able to provide the delegates with a video recording of the workshop.
